Hi Everyone,
On Sunday, I arrived, I hired all of my gear from a shop called Rhythm, in Cooma. When we got to Jyndabyne a man drove us up to the top of Perisher. We then caught an oversnow to my lodge, Illabunda.
I saw my friends and got allocated my room. We had to unpack and make the beds. I then went to dinner, spaghetti Bolognese.
On Monday, I did Ski Training with a coach called Christopher Green. He was from Tidworth in the UK. The group was made up of people in the junior team in the lodge. There was 7 people in the group. The weather was horrible. There was about a medium blizzard.
The next day I did the same thing, race training. There was a big blizzard that day, it was not very fun. We had a coach called David Bale. He was really good. My group and I were on the T-Bar, when all of the power in the whole resort went out. It went all the way back to Comma. We went inside were it was really dark, I had some food and a drink. It was OK. The power came back on and we had to leave. In the afternoon we had X-Country training. We did it with a man called Ben Saloon. He had a very cute son called Isaac. He was 1 and 3 quarters. We went on a medium sized track, it lasted about 45 minuetes with no stops. It was fun! We came home to find all of the parents watching a weird movie. We had dinner and watched some T.V, we then went to bed.
The next morning my sister and mum had to get up early for her snowboard races. They went out about an hour before me. We had pancakes for breakfast! They were very yummy! We then did the same race training, going through bumps and blizzards! We did a huge X-country track on that day. It was very long!! We were all so puffed!
That night I went to my friend, Emma’s lodge. It was so fun. I went in an oversnow by myself, when I hoped in Mrs Bartlett, Meagan and Steph (Emma’s Family) was in there. We went to there lodge, Sydney Ski. We brought in the bags, made the beds and then had dinner. We had Chicken Schnitzel and potato swirls for dinner! We played some games and then went to bed.
We woke up early and went to our first race, Skier-X. It was very fun. I did pretty well. I came 34th out of around 100. We went for morning tea afterwards. We also did X-Country that afternoon. It was so fun. We did a great course! It was great for our fitness. We went home, had dinner, and watched some T.V.
My mum and I were up early the next morning as well. I had my next race, alpine. You just have to go through flags. It wasn’t steep at all. My team came 9th and I came 35th all up. We didn’t do X-Country that afternoon, I went skiing with Emma. It was fun. We went up and down a few runs and then stopped for a drink. The next day I did Snowboard lesson. I did it with my club as well. We went to the hardest mountain (In my opinion) Mount P. Which stands for Mountain Perisher. That night the people at the lodge were all dancing! IT WAS SO EMBARRASSING! All of these adults doing weird crazy dance moves! The sight was blinding! Unfortunately the next day we had to pack up and go home! Well, not exactly home! Oh this is getting mysterious!
