P.S. longer letter later is an amazing story which I have just finished reading! It is written in a series of letters, between Elizabeth and Tara*Starr.
Tara is a very creative, funny girl who is a little bit strange. When I imagine her I imagine a girl wearing her mothers clothes from when the mother was little and sewing sequins and making it funky! Tara’s parents had here when they were 17 and Tara says that they are charents (child parents.). Tara’s parents have had trouble saving money and keeping jobs.
Elizabeth is a very smart, quiet girl. She comes from a very posh family where the father is earning a fair bit of money. They have always had the best of the best.
Of course these girls are best friends! But the worst thing possible happens when Tara has to move to Ohio because her dad landed a great job there. Tara and Elizabeth promise to keep on writing letters and stay friends! So that’s exactly what they do.
Elizabeth has struck trouble when her father gets laid off. Elizabeth goes through a world of mayhem that she has never experienced before! Tara has been through it all as she has never lived in a house, only apartments. Tara has to try and comfort Elizabeth and get through this tough time together.
Will there friendship remain or will it completely split up?
A fantastic novel written by Ann M. Martin and Paula Danziger. I would recommend this for girls aged 10-13. I am not sure that everybody would understand it, but it is still an amazing book. I would rate it 9/10. There is also another title called Snail Mail.
