Hi Everyone,
You may know that I am in LOVE with a band called One Direction or 1D. I am going to write about them in a 3 part series. The first will be just an introduction to One Direction, the second will be fact files on all of the 5 boys, and the third will have some of their songs and pictures! I hope that by the end you are well and truly in as much LOVE as I am in!
How They Became a Band
Well as you may know, One Direction is a very popular and amazing band. They are my very favourite! They started out as solo artists auditioning for the X-Factor, UK. They all got through to Boot camp, but unfortunately they did not make it into the competition. But… Simon Cowell called them back and said that they had to much talent to be wasted and formed the band One Direction! They got through all of the way to the Semi Finals and came third! The winners of X Factor get signed a record deal with Simon Cowell, but One Direction were just so great that he decided that they deserved a record deal to!

One Direction are a group of five guys who were as you now know from my last post, were manufactured through the X-Factor UK. The names of the band are:
Louis William Tomlinson: 20 Years Old turning 21 in December
Niall James Horan: 18 Years Old
Harry Edward Styles: 17 Years Old
Zayn Jawaad Malik: 18 Years Old
Liam James Payne: 19 Years Old
Where do One Direction Come From?
Louis: born in Doncasta, Yorkshire, England
Niall: Mullinger, Ireland
Harry: Evesham, Worcestershire, England
Zayn: Bradford, England
Liam: Wolverhampton, West Midlands, England
