Here are some rules for you and your friends to follow when leaving a comment. Firstly…

MAKE SURE IT IS A QUALITY COMMENT…

What is the point of leaving a comment that says ‘Visit my blog’? There is none. When leaving a comment try to remember to make it detailed. Remember to have 3-4 sentences. Say nice things about there blog and ask questions. If you ask questions, they should respond to you. If you have a link, be sure to leave it. But don’t just write the comment so that it is ‘Visit my blog’. Write your comment like a letter for example

WRITE COMMENT HERE! MAKE SURE IT IS 3-4 SENTENCES LONG. DON’T USE TEXT TALK. RE-READ AFTERWARDS TO CHECK PUNCTUATION AND SPELLING.

Text talk is when you say something like this,

 

hru? I am gr8.

When blogging you should always use proper words. Some people may not understand it. Try to write in full sentences and use punctuation. Remember your capital letters, full stops etc.

DON’T GIVE AWAY INFORMATION…

Do not give away private or personal information. Never give away your address. If someone asks you where you come from, you can say your country or state but never your address. Do not use your full name. Only use your first name or a nickname. There is no need for this. If anyone ever asks you things like this you should tell an adult.

IF YOU GET A COMMENT, COMMENT BACK…

The polite thing to do, when given a comment is… COMMENT BACK! If they have left a URL to there blog, than visit it and leave them a comment. If someone has taken up time to read posts on your blog, and leave a comment, than the polite thing to do is comment back. If there is no URL than you can just reply.

BE RESPECTFUL…

When commenting there is no need to be rude. Be respectful to everybody. Do not be mean or rude. If someone is mean or rude to you, than tell an adult. Do not say inappropriate things. I will not publish a comment that is disobeying my rules. So I suggest you follow them

MAKE SURE THAT IT MAKES SENSE…

Make sure that you are posting something that is relevant and makes sense. If the post is about Christmas, don’t write a comment regarding Halloween. If it is relevant than you can say it, but make sure that you are posting things that are worth reading and writing about. Make sure that your wording is making sense. Make sure other people can understand it. Don’t be silly, use common sense.

MAKE SURE THAT NOBODY ELSE HAS WRITTEN THAT…

Make sure that nobody else has already written that.

RE-READ BEFORE YOU POST…

 

Re-Read your comments before you post it. If you don’t there may be many mistakes. If you re-read your comment you can change things that don’t sound right!

REMEMBER…

1) I have to approve all comments before you can see them. If you do not follow these rules your comment will not be approved.

2) A comment on someones blog is a digital footprint. It will always be there. Anyone can see it, so be wise!!!
